A more flexible PTO program gives employees the freedom to determine a work-life balance that works for them because no one knows the details of their needs better than anyone else. We all benefit from the fact that employees return to the office with a much better, more energized version of themselves. Also, this policy gives managers the ability to manage by saying, “Hey, I hope you get the job done decently and take the time you need to be with your loved ones.”

These offices acquire a culture of fun and collaboration. Some of the ideas we’ve implemented are off-site rooms (with great Wi-Fi!) in case they need to get away from their desks, a dark and quiet library area where employees can work undisturbed, along with massage therapy providers and our massage chairs in case they need a five-minute break.

Create a Supportive Atmosphere

Providing industry-standard benefits is at stake in today’s environment, so companies must look for different approaches to engage and encourage employees through the various challenges they or a loved one may face. Through EAP, employees can access resources and tools to help them deal with depression, anxiety, other personal problems, family and relationship problems, or financial and budget issues.

Since research suggests that exercise promotes mental well-being, for example, by reducing stress and anxiety, a comprehensive wellness program can provide many benefits. By providing resources such as on-site exercise classes or wellness reimbursements, monthly battles, yoga, and more, we can encourage employees to get an option that’s right for them and enriches their overall physical and mental well-being. Creating a supportive atmosphere has become a meaningful way to cultivate the conversations that need to take place in our workplace.
